Day 02 & 03:  Makhaleng valley
This morning, after breakfast, you will be collected from your hotel and will continue your journey into Lesotho. “Wayfarer, Pause and Look Upon A Gateway of Paradise”. A comment made by Mervyn Bosworth-Smith, founder of Malealea, Trading station in the 1900’s – now Malealea Lodge. Overlooking the Makhaleng valley with the river eroded sandstone gorges justifying the comment. Malealea offers Lesotho in a nutshell. The road suddenly plunges towards the valley floor above the narrow gorge of the meandering Makhaleng River. The twisting chocolate brown Makhaleng beckons far below. The views are spectacular: lichen-stained cliffs rise from the slowly meandering river, giving way to the textured plateau and row upon row of mountains layered in tones of grey and green. Dozens of tiny hamlets dot the slopes, some clinging to the edges of the steep inclines, others concealed within deep valleys.

Spend two nights at Malealea Lodge in a standard room on a full board basis including a cultural tour, Pony trekking & Scenic Walks

Day 04: Bloemfontein, South Africa
After an early breakfast, depart on the twisting road back to the boarders of Lesotho and South Africa with lunch en-route.  Drop off at Bloemfontein Airport for your onward flight to your selected safari extension.
