Day 1 - Upon arrival at Vilanculos on the coast of Mozambique, you will be met and after completing Immigration formalities, transferred to the island of Bazaruto by seaplane, and experience in itself! Indigo Bay (L, D).
Day 2 - Bazaruto Island is part of the Bazaruto Archipelago Nature Reserve, and is truly the pristine tropical island of our dreams. Indigo Bay Lodge is situated right on the beautiful white coral beach. The 23 individual chalets, each with stunning views over the ocean are built for comfort and privacy. Indigo Bay (B, L, D).
Day 3 - The hospitality at Indigo Bay Lodge is of International standards. The cuisine is superb, with an emphasis on freshly caught seafood. Indigo Bay (B, L, D).
Day 4 - During your stay on Bazaruto, you will also have a land rover tour of the island affording you the opportunity of studying the flora and fauna of the island as well as many rare birds. A highlight of your stay at Bazaruto will be visiting 'pansy island' home to the unique pansy shells, one of the rarest and most beautiful shells in the World. Day 5 - Additional activities on Bazaruto include deep sea diving, deep sea fishing and saltwater fly fishing, horse riding and the whole range of land and water sports. Indigo Bay (B, L, D).
Day 6 - After five relaxing nights on Bazaruto you will return to Vilanculos for the flight back to Johannesburg. (B).

The extensive Quirimbas Archipelago consists of 27 offshore islands strung along the coast parallel to Pemba. The islands are composed of fossil coral rock and have lush vegetation and mangrove swamps. They support a wide variety of wading birds, turtles and terns. Ibo Island is the best known of the islands in the Quirimbas and has a fascinating history of slavery and some opulent beautiful architecture.
Accommodation is at Ibo Island Lodge is located on the prime waterfront site, where romantic dhows sail out to sea on each high tide. The lodge encompasses three magnificent mansions each over one hundred years old with walls over a meter thick and lofty high ceilings.
The three mansions of Ibo Island Lodge are called Villa Paradiso, Villa Niassa and Villa Bela Vista. Accommodation is split between Paradiso and Niassa only - Bela Vista is the public area of the lodge and houses the Lodge's restaurant, shop and the main pool in the main garden.
All bedrooms are individually designed and unique, with many opening onto private verandas, decked with hand crafted furniture and soft cushions covered in vibrant local fabrics.

Itinerary Details
Day 1: Johannesburg - Vilanculos - Benguerua Island
Arrive at Johannesburg International Airport. Walk across to International departures for the flight to Vilanculos. On arrival, transfer by boat to the Benguerua Island. Spend the rest of the day at leisure. MARLIN LODGE - Dinner
Day 2-4: Benguerua Island
You will experience the Mozambique Dhow Sail boat Sunset Cruise plus a Benguerua Island Drive tour, visit the Island by Landrover vehicle and explore some of the local homes and see the fresh water lakes and hike the towering dunes.
