Glimpse of Madagascar: Nozy Be & Perinet - prices on request

Laze in luxury on this 8 day/7 night beach holiday.  Explore the magnificent Coral Reefs of the Nosy Be Archipelago and see the incredible rainforest wildlife.

Day 01 - 04: Nosy Be
You will be met at Johannesburg International Airport by a To Africa Tours & Safaris Representative and will be handed your travel documents.   You will then be assisted with checking-in for your International flight to Antananarivo, Madagascar.  On your arrival at Antananarivo, make your way to the domestic terminal for your flight to Nosy Be Island.  You will be met on arrival by a representative of the hotel and will be transferred to the hotel of your choice.

Nosy Be’s is the most well known of all Madagascar’s islands offering plenty in terms of excursions, the most popular of these being Nosy Tanikely, a marine reserve around which the reefs offer astounding snorkeling and diving opportunities. Then there’s Nosy Komba, an unofficial ‘sanctuary’ for a thriving population of endangered Black Lemurs (all excursions are at an additional cost).

Spend four nights at one of the following hotels:

L’Heure Bleue Hotel (V). Accommodation is in a wooden bungalow, on a bed & breakfast basis.

Amarina Hotel (L).  Accommodation is in a standard sea facing room, on a dinner, bed & breakfast basis.

Tsarabanjina Private Island (D).  Accommodation is in a standard room, on a full board basis.

Day 05 - 06: Perinet Reserve

Today you will be transferred to the airport for your flight back to Antananarivo.  From here you are transferred to Perinet Reserve, which is Madagascar’s most popular Reserve.

Spend the whole day exploring the Perinet’s rainforest. To see the most wildlife (especially Indris and birds) be in the rainforest as close to daybreak as possible as the animals are most active. The trails are not difficult to manage and all the forest guides speak English. You should also encounter the likes of Grey Bamboo Lemur, Red-fronted Brown Lemur; birds like the lovely Blue Coua; Sunbird-Asity and Nuthatch Vanga, as well as impressive reptiles like Malagasy Tree Boa and Parson’s Chameleon. Orchids and other epiphytes festoon the trees.

Spend two nights at one of the following hotels:

Feon’Ny Ala (V). Accommodation is in a bungalow, on a bed & breakfast basis.

Vakona Lodge (L & D). Accommodation is in a bungalow, on a bed & breakfast basis.

Day 07: Antananarivo
Transfer to Antananarivo and check into the Hotel Royal Palissandre. Spend one night at the Hotel Royal Palissandre (V, L & D). Accommodation is in a standard room on a bed & breakfast.

Day 08:  Departure
After checking out of your hotel today, you will be transferred to the airport for your departure flight to Johannesburg International Airport.
